KENORA OPP CHARGED TWO MALES FOR DRUGS

(KENORA, ON) On Thursday January 30, 2014 shortly before 10:00 pm, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged two males for drug related offences following a traffic stop on Highway 17A. The investigation led to the arrest of the two men and a search of the vehicle located approximately 25 pounds of suspected marijuana and a small amount of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, 26 year old Daniel MCRAE and 45 year old Daniel LINKLATER of British Colombia have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cannabis over 3 kilograms contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Both men are to appear in court on February 5, 2014.

The street value of the drugs is estimated at $58,000.
