Kenneth Whiten – Drunk Driving

(BANCROFT, ON) – In the late afternoon on May 05, 2018 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a traffic complaint of a motor vehicle driving recklessly down the Hastings Heritage trail in the Town of Bancroft.

Officers located the vehicle driving in an unsafe manner and conducted a traffic stop on the driver. Upon speaking with the driver, officers determined that he had been consuming alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Kenneth Whiten, 50 years of the Town of Bancroft has been charged with:

Driving while ability impaired by alcohol,

Driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100Ml of blood and,

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

On top of the charges, his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released on a promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on June 12, 2018.
