(SUDBURY, ON)- On May 26, 2016, at approximately 4:26 p.m., members from the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Highway 144 at Municipal Road 24, in the City of Greater Sudbury.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the vehicle being operated by the male driver had no insurance.
Kenneth SHAWBONQUIT, 36 years of age, from Lively, was charged with the following:
Owner – operate motor vehicle on a highway – no insurance, contrary to section 2(1)(a) of the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit, contrary to section 7(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on June 20, 2016.
