(GUELPH, ON) – On January 7, 2017 at approximately 9:40 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officer was patrolling Highway 6 near College Avenue, Guelph and observed a 2015 Dodge speeding northbound through traffic at approximately 135 km/h in the posted 70 km/h zone. A traffic stop was performed and as a result, 20-year-old Kenneth EDWARDS of Guelph was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He will appear in Guelph Court on February 1, 2017. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
