(Town of New Tecumseth, ON)- On Friday the 27th of March 2015 at 8:00 p.m. an officer from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police was on radar patrol on County Road 1 in the Town of New Tecumseth when a Toyota Corolla was observed to be speeding. The officer attempted to turn around to make efforts to conduct a traffic stop, however when it was safe to do so the Toyota Corolla was gone.
The officer continued to patrol on County Road 1 and came across the vehicle again however it had been involved in a motor vehicle collision at County Road 1 and the Adjala/Tecumseth Townline. The officer rendered assistance to the male driver of the Toyota Corolla and two female occupants in a Toyota Yarus. The female occupants were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Upon further investigation, the male driver of the Toyota Corolla, 38-year old Kenneth DOCKRILL was found to be intoxicated by alcohol. He was charged with, Over 80mgs, and Dangerous Driving causing bodily harm. He not injured in the collision.
He is scheduled to appear in court on the 17th of April 2015 in answer to his charges.
