KEITH – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 43-year-old male after police stopped a motor vehicle at a Front Street North, Town of York, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, at approximately 10:38 p.m., police were conducting patrols in the area of Haldimand Road 54 when a vehicle attracted the officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated at a Front Street North address.

As a result of investigation, police charged 43-year-old Jeffrey KEITH, of Hamilton, Ontario with driving over the legal limit and driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charge.

“There is no safe level of alcohol consumption when getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. You are not only putting your life at risk, but innocent lives of other motorists and pedestrians travelling on the roadway” – Inspector Phil Carter, Haldimand County OPP Detachment Commander.
