Justin WAUGH – Arson

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Middlesex Centre Fire Services were called to an Oxbow Drive address for a reported structure fire on July 29, 2015, at approximately 3:45 p.m.

The structure was a residence at a rural property, in the 10,000 block of Oxbow Drive.

The fire was brought under control by the Middlesex Centre Fire Services. There were no injuries, and the cost of damage to the structure has yet to be determined.

Members of the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS), and the Office of the Fire Marshall (OFM), commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire, which was deemed suspicious.

As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Justin WAUGH, from Middlesex Centre, Ontario, was arrested, and has been charged with arson – damage to property, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was held in custody, and subsequently released. He is scheduled to appear in a London court to answer to the charge on August 13, 2015.
