Justin GAUTHIER – Drunk Driving

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 28, 2016 at approximately 6:50 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a driving complaint involving a motor vehicle that was observed stopping and starting, driving on the opposite side of the road, and flashing lights in Elora and Fergus, Centre Wellington Township.

Officers located the 2015 Infinity QX6 that matched the description on Union Street in Fergus. A traffic stop was conducted and while speaking with the driver, police immediately detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was transported to a nearby OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

41-year-old Justin GAUTHIER of Orangeville has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on December 6, 2016 to answer to the charge.
