(Prince Edward County, On) At 2:21am on Saturday the 21st of December, a Prince Edward OPP officer observed a pick up truck on Main Street Picton being operated in an erratic manner. The officer initiated a traffic stop and in conversation with the driver, noted an odor of alcohol on his breath.
The officer made a demand on the driver to submit to an approved screening device test, which he then registered a Fail”. The driver was arrested and brought to the detachment where he provided a breath sample into the Intoxilyzer resulting in readings in excess of the legal limit.
Joshua NEWELL age 22yrs of Stirling has been charged with Impaired Operation and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80mgs of Alcohol in his blood. NEWELL will appear in Picton court on the 8th of January 2014 to answer to the charges. “
