(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On April 8, 2017, at approximately 7:48 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed northbound on Hyde Park Road, and conducted a traffic stop near Nine Mile Road.
Officers determined that the 31-year-old male driver of the red Oldsmobile car had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered, but the driver failed to provide a breath sample.
As a result of the police investigation, Joshua LEWIS, from London, Ontario, has been charged with fail or refuse to provide sample 254(2), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court.
