Joshua DEWHIRST – Drunk Driving

(SOUTHWEST OXFORD, ON.) – On October 22, 2016 at approximately 4:02 a.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision between a car and a transport truck.

The collision had occurred on Highway 401 eastbound, east of Foldens Line at the merge lanes onto the highway.

Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Beachville fire department attended and assisted with the scene.

There were no injuries.

As a result of investigation, the 21-year-old male, Joshua DEWHIRST of Southwest Oxford Township was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:

Driving While Ability Impaired – motor vehicle

Driving with More than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

The male was released on a Promise to Appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on November 22, 2016.
