(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 29-year-old male with Obstructing a Peace Officer following an investigation resulting from a traffic stop at a Highway 6, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Sunday November 27, 2016, OPP were conducting routine patrols in the area of Highway 6 when they noticed a vehicle travelling above the posted speed limit.
OPP stopped the vehicle and investigated.
The male driver of the vehicle provided a name to police which investigation determined to be false.
Further investigation lead to the arrest of the male.
OPP has charged 29-year-old Joshua BROWN of Hannon, Ontario with obstructing a peace officer and also driving while under suspension.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
