(Cavan Monaghan Township, ON) – On Sunday, September 29, at approximately 6:21 pm officers from the Peterborough County OPP were patrolling County Road 2 when they encountered a motor vehicle being operated by a possible impaired driver.
OPP officers had been in the County Road 2 area prior to the time of the incident in response to a verbal dispute. At this time they had encountered a male who had been drinking alcohol and appeared to be impaired. The male had been cautioned regarding operating any vehicles in his state of sobriety.
Shortly after wards the officers recognized the same male operating a Chrysler Concord on County Road 2.
The officers conducted a traffic stop and investigated the male. As a result of the investigation the male 57 year old Joseph KOLORZ of Cavan South Monaghan Twp. was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle, having over 80 mgs of alcohol, and Suspended Driving.
KOLORZ is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts on November 28, 2013 to answer to the charges.
