(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police has charged a 31 year old male with Speeding and Driving While Disqualified following a traffic stop yesterday (16July2014) morning. Just before 9:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a white Chevrolet Explorer Van travelling southbound on Donnybrook Line at a high rate of speed. The officer confirmed the speed of the vehicle with a RADAR device and determined the driver was travelling at a speed of 112 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone.
After speaking with the driver a driver’s licence query was completed and it revealed the driver was prohibited from driving. As a result, 31 year old Jordan HAMILTON from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Speeding and Drive While Disqualified.
He has a court appearance scheduled for Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 25, 2014. The motor vehicle was also impounded for a mandatory 45 days.
