(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On November 17th, 2014 at approximately 9:20 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police while monitoring traffic flow on Hwy #26 in the Town of Wasaga Beach observed a motor vehicle east bound traveling at a high rate of speed: 176 Km/h in a posted 90 Km/h zone.
This motor vehicle was stop and the driver charged appropriately. In addition to the driver of this vehicle there were 3 similar aged female passengers also in this motor vehicle.
Charged with “Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Speeding by 50 or more Km/h†under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario is Jonathan W. SACREY 17 year old from Clearview Twp.
In addition Police has seized the above motor vehicle for 7 days and suspended the above driver’s Licence for 7 day. At that speed you would travel a kilometer every 20 seconds or the length of a football field in 2 seconds.
