(HALIBURTON, ON) – On December 17, 2015 at approximately 3:39pm, members of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check at Gelert Road and South Lake Road in Minden Hills Township.
Officers observed a vehicle enter the R.I.D.E. check and met with the male driver. As a result of the investigation, John WHITTY, 53 years of age from Minden Hills Township has been charged with Driving while under suspension contrary to sec 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
The male is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court in Minden on January 7, 2016.
