(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) On August 5, 2013 at approximately 8:00pm, Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information regarding a possible impaired driver. A short time later, police stopped a vehicle matching the description on Falconbridge Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.
Officers soon discovered that the male had been drinking and was impaired. The driver was placed under arrest for impaired driving. The male was transported to the Strathroy OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of an investigation police have charged John ROWE, age 65 of Strathroy-Caradoc, ON with impaired operation of a motor vehicle as per section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) and over 80mg as per Section 253(1)(b) of the CCC. The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded. The driver was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London Court room on September 5, 2013 to speak to the charges.
