(ESSEX, ON) – A 66 year old Essex man has been charged with Impaired Driving and Assault Police after an incident on November 8, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m. on Talbot Street North in Essex, Ontario.
John KOBELNAK was arrested after a driving complaint was received involving a red Ford pickup truck travelling eastbound on Highway 3 near Victoria Avenue in Essex, Ontario. A motorist contacted police advising the vehicle was swerving all over the roadway.
When the vehicle was located and stopped by police, the driver exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested. During the arrest the driver resisted and assaulted the officer.
KOBELNAK will appear in a Windsor, Ontario court on November 23, 2016 to answer to the charges of:

Refuse To Provide Breath Sample
Assault Police
Fail To Comply With Undertaking
