(Selwyn Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Fife’s Bay Road yesterday just after 8:00pm for a stop sign violation. The driver used another male’s out of province driver’s licence to identify himself.
John David COAKER (age 29) of Selwyn Township was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
Personation
Fail to comply with probation order
Fail to comply with undertaking
The accused was also faces charges under Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act:
Disobey stop sign
Operate vehicle while using a hand held wireless communication device
Drive no licence
The accused was held in custody for a show cause hearing scheduled at the Peterborough Provincial Courthouse on May 21, 2015.
