(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver facing a Criminal Code related driving offence.
On August 16, 2014 an OPP officer conducted a vehicle stop on Kawartha Lakes Road 36 near Pigeon Lake Road and determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The officer conducted a road side test and the driver was subsequently arrested. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
As a result of the investigation Jeremy TOKAR, 23 years of age, of Bobcaygeon, is charged with the offence of having care or control of a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on October 9, 2014.
