(Essa Township, ON) On Saturday the 20th of September 2014 at 4:25 p.m. officers from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of the 20th Sideroad and County Road 56 in Essa Township.
Emergency personnel discovered a blue Dodge Caravan that had lost control and rolled into the northbound ditch on the 20th Sideroad. The occupants of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Through further investigation, the driver 27-year old Jeremy GILBERT of Barrie was arrested and charged for Impaired Driving Section 253 (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada and Over 80 milligrams Section 253 (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in answer to his charges on the 16th of October 2014 in Bradford West Gwillimbury Provincial Court.
