(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2012 Ford Focus after the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign posted at the intersection of Miller St., and Owen St.; making a wide turn onto Edwin St., W. in Meaford.
The driver of the vehicle had been drinking alcohol and exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken to the Meaford Detachment for breath tests. Test results indicated he had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Jeffrey R. GILLMOR, 24 years, of Thornbury, Town of the Blue Mountains, was charged with impaired driving and over 80 milligrams. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
