(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On September 1, 2017, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Highbury Avenue, Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
Officers located the vehicle on Medway Road and initiated a traffic stop.
Officers determined that the 45-year-old male driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests. The breath tests revealed that the driver had 3 times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
As a result of the police investigation, Jason TUREK, of Middlesex Centre, has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired, Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, Driving While Disqualified and Take Motor vehicle Without Consent pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).
The accused’s vehicle has been seized for 7 days.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on September 28, 2017.
