Jason T. SMITH – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On Thursday, October 10, 2013, at approximately 10:27 pm, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in the Village of Bolton. The officer was travelling northbound on Queen Street when she observed a Dodge Ram pick-up truck travelling ahead of her marked cruiser. The officer observed as the vehicle was weaving within the marked lane. Subsequently, the officer activated the cruiser’s emergency equipment to check on the driver’s sobriety. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver was arrested and transported to Detachment for further testing.

In conclusion, Jason T. SMITH, 29, of Caledon was arrested and charged with Over 80 mgs.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 24, 2013.
