(CALEDON, ON) – On December 2, 2013 at approximately 8:20 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were travelling southbound on Highway 10 and the Forks of the Credit Road when they observed two vehicles parked off the roadway in a dirt parking lot. The officers approached the vehicle and located a male driver and a female passenger. Upon speaking with the occupants, the officers immediately detected a strong odour of freshly burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and located a bag of a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, on the driver’s lap.
As a result of their investigation, Jason Brown, 32, of Brampton was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance.
He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on January 6, 2014.
