(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – A 41 year old male has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop on Highway 401, in the City of London, Ontario.
In the early morning hours on November 23, 2014, a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Region Highway Enforcement Team (HET) observed a grey Ford SUV travelling westbound on Highway 401, west of Highbury Avenue.
Police initiated a traffic stop, and determined that the driver of the motor vehicle had been drinking alcohol.
A roadside screening device was administered and the driver registered a “failâ€Â. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, Jade EWART, from London, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on January 13, 2015, to answer to the charge.
