Jacob HENRY – Hit and Run, Drive While Suspended, etc

(MONO, ON) –On Friday the 27th of May, 2016 at approximately 8:55 am, Dufferin O.P.P. officers were dispatched to respond to a motor vehicle collision on the 1st Line EHS of Mono. Information was received that a black 2010 BMW sedan had driven into a fence at a residence at that location. The lone occupant who was the driver fled the scene on foot. A detailed description of the driver was broadcast to responding officers.

At approximately 9:11 am driver was located by patrolling OPP officers on Headwaters Lane in Mono and arrested for failing to remain at scene of collision.

The accused was subsequently placed in the rear of police cruiser; the accused became agitated and aggressive. He tried to kick out prisoner cage and side window of police vehicle. He actively resisted police and was violent towards them.

The accused was taken to Headwaters Hospital for examination. He continued to be violent and resisting officers at an area hospital.

Jacob HENRY, 28 years old of Toronto, Ontario was later charged with the offences of Dangerous Driving, Failing to remain, Driving under suspension and three counts of Mischief Under $5000.00 and later released from Hospital.

He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charge.
