Barrie Police responded to a call on Livingstone Street regarding a woman who was very drunk and was stumbling while walking a dog. The dog seemed to be pulling her at some points. She was carrying a bottle of wine in her coat and it looked like she had spilled quite a bit of the alcohol on herself. Investigating officers placed her under arrest for her own safety. She was dressed for the weather, but kept falling into the slush and snow. She was clearly not in a position to care of herself. The 52 year old local woman was held in custody until sober and realesed with a Provincial Offences fine to pay. No one was injured in this incident.
