On Friday, December 13, 2013, members of the London Police Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, executed search warrants at residences located at 1-332 Hilton Avenue and 1-347 Stratton Drive in the City of London.
Seized were the following items:
– 714 marihuana plants – $714,000
– 206g marihuana – $2,060
Total value of drugs seized: $716,060
Total value of equipment seized: $2,400
As a result of this investigation, 46-year-old Gary Rodgers and 54-year-old Maurice Vanden-Berghe are jointly charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges:
– Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Unlawfully producing a schedule II substance
Gary Rodgers is also charged with the following additional Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges:
– Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Unlawfully producing a schedule II substance
