Barrie Police were called to the McDonald’s drive thru on Dunlop St. in regards to a minor motor vehicle collision The officers arrived on scene and were advised that there was a verbal argument between two parties in the drive thru. The one driver decided to nudge the other vehice to make his point When the officers spoke to the 25 year old Barrie man it was determined that his ability to operate the motor vehicle was impiared by alcohol.
The male was placed under arrest for impaired driving and transported to the station to have the breath tests administered to him. The results of the tests were almost two times the legal limit. The male was eventually released once sober with a February court date.
