(COLLINGWOOD AND THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON.) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged two motorists with drinking and driving offences over the course of the weekend.
The first incident took place during the early morning hours of the 31st of July 2015 where an officer on patrols conducted a vehicle stop on Grey Road 19 in The Blue Mountains. Interactions with the driver found that he was under the influence of alcohol which led to his arrest and transport to Collingwood detachment for processing. Charged is 27 year-old Brian HOWLEY of The Blue Mountains, he is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and care or control over 80 milligrams. He is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 13th of August 2015.
The second incident took place at approximately 2:40am on the 2nd of August 2015 where an officer on patrols conducted a vehicle stop in a parking lot on Ste-Marie Street in Collingwood. Interactions with the driver revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol which led to his arrest and transport to Collingwood detachment. Charged is 39 year-old David KNOX of Collingwood, he is facing a charge of care or control over 80 milligrams and is to appear in Collingwood court on the 18th of August 2015.
