(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Saturday April 12, 2015 just before 7:00pm Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police along with Muskoka EMS were notified of a motor vehicle collision on Highway #11 at Rowanwood Rd., Huntsville Ontario.
Officers located a Ford Ranger pick-up truck on Rowanwood Rd. with significant amount of damage to the rear and it had appeared that the driver had reversed from the roadway hitting a tree. As a result of the investigation it was found that the driver of the pickup truck had been drinking.
Richard FERRANTE (47yrs) of Ryerson Twp., Ontario was arrested and eventually charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle and Fail or Refuse to Provide Breath Sample under the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on May 13, 2015 to answer to his charged. His vehicle was impounded for 7 days and he received a 90 day licence suspension.
