(HAMILTON TWP, ON) – On Wednesday August 13, 2014 at approximately 8:00pm Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on County Road 28. According to witnesses the vehicle almost caused a head on collision.
Officers located the vehicle on County Road 9 with two occupants. Several empty liquor bottles and a partially full bottle were found within the vehicle. The female driver was arrested for impaired driving and her male passenger was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
Both were taken to the Cobourg OPP detachment where the female refused to provide samples of her breath. As a result, Natalie BISSON age 36 of Scarborough has been charged with the following offences:
1) Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample
2) Impaired Care & Control of motor vehicle
3) Driving while under suspension
4) Breach of Recognizance
5) Driving a motor vehicle with open liquor
BISSON remained in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Cobourg August 14, 2014.
The male passenger was held until sober and released in the morning without charges.
