(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – On June 11, 2016, at approximately 2:24 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a single motor vehicle in the ditch, on McGillivray Road, near Brinsley Road.
Officers determined the driver of the grey Chevrolet pickup truck had been drinking alcohol, and issued a roadside screening device demand. The driver refused to supply a sample of his breath, and was placed under arrest. He resisted, and fled the area on foot.
The 33-year-old male, from North Middlesex, Ontario, was subsequently apprehended.
As a result of the police investigation, Jamie HODGINS has been charged with fail or refuse to provide sample 254(2), resist peace officer, public mischief, and driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on August 23, 2016.
