A 51 year old Barrie women is presently in police custody this morning facing charges of impaired driving, refuse to provide a sample and possession of marihuana . Shortly after 2am, the police received information that a female was attempting to drive her vehicle on Dunlop St. E. after several witnesses attempted to stop her from entering the car. She was followed by a taxi driver until the arrival of the officer. She was arrested for drunk driving and found to be in possession of a small quantity of marihuana. The women was taken to the police station where she refused to provide a breath sample. She will be released with a future court date.
