(Peterborough County, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attempted to stop a motorist on Highway 115 just after 5:00am Sunday morning.
After failing to stop for officers, the driver crashed his vehicle into a ditch on McNamara Road in the City of Peterborough. Ifennacho Festus EGWUENU, (age 28) of Toronto, ON was arrested and charged with:
Impaired Driving
Dangerous Driving
Refuse to provide a breath sample
Flight while pursued by police officer
Driving while suspended
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, ON March 10, 2016.
