(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Friday October 18, 2013 just after 11:00am, members of the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Muskoka EMS and Huntsville Fire were advised of a town of Huntsville vehicle had struck a hydro pole on Centre St. Huntsville. The pole, the wires and the transformer all came down on top of the truck not allowing the two occupants to exit safely.
All emergency services maintained a distance until the local power company was able to attend along with the assistance of Hydro One, the power was cut. The two occupants were removed from the truck and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Ministry of Labour along with Ministry of Environment were contacted to attend. No charges laid by the OPP.
