(HURON COUNTY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed Bluewater Veterans Highway (Highway 21) between Blyth Road and Amberley Road due to road and weather conditions. Sections of Bluewater Highway are experiencing heavy drifting, making conditions impassable.
Also, Amberley Road from Amberley to Lucknow remains closed.
Motorists are reminded to respect the road closures that are in place. Driving on a closed roadway is an offence under the Highway Traffic Act that carries a $110 fine and three demerit points upon conviction.
All motorists are encouraged to check weather and road conditions by calling 511 or online at www.Ontario.ca/trip for up to date road conditions for provincially maintained highways. This bilingual service is available 24 hours a day and provides updates on highway closures and road conditions.
