Howick Honda Stolen – Unlocked With Keys Inside

(HOWICK, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the recent theft of Honda Civic that was stolen from a residence located on Perth Road 178 south of Fordwich. Sometime between 10:00 p.m. on August 7, 2015 and 8:00 a.m. the next morning those responsible entered onto the farm property and located the Honda Civic parked in the laneway. Once inside the unlocked vehicle the thief found the ignition key and took off in the stolen vehicle.

Perth County OPP officers encountered the stolen vehicle on August 8th around 3:15 p.m. travelling eastbound on Line 87 near Perth Road 176. Officers attempted to stop the stolen vehicle however the male driver failed to stop for police. Officers followed a short distance however for public safety reasons police discontinued the chase. The stolen vehicle was last seen travelling west on Line 86 from Molesworth.

The stolen vehicle is described as a blue, 2008 Honda Civic, four-door.
