House Fire – Residents Unaccounted For

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – At approximately 11:03 a.m., on December 14, 2016, the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police, the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Fire Department, and the Middlesex Centre Fire Service were dispatched to a house fire. They were assisted by the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police, and the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

The structure, a single residence in the 1200 block of Townline Road, was fully engulfed.

The residents are unaccounted for at this time.

The damage estimate and cause of the fire is currently unknown.

The scene has been secured for the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM), which has been called in to investigate. As a result, Townline Road, between Ballpark Road and Fairgrounds Road is closed.

The public can expect fire and police presence in the area until further notice.
