(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.)- Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fire on Patullo Avenue at approximately 08:37 a.m.
OPP members responded along with Norwich Township fire department to assist at the scene.
The barn at this address was fully engulfed. One horse died as a result of the fire.
Patullo Avenue between Middletown Line and Oxford Road 14 is closed.
It is expected that the road will remain closed for an extended period of time to extinguish the fire and to continue with the investigation.
All other horses were removed safely.
The Norwich Township fire department is continuing to work to extinguish the fire.
