Homicide Victim Name Released

For Immediate Release: February 24, 2014
Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a homicide at a residential property on Erb’s Road West, just west of Sandhills Road in Wilmot Township.
Just after 9:30pm on Sunday February 23, 2014, emergency services responded to a report of gunshots and located a deceased male outside the residence. He was later transported to Hamilton for a post mortem examination.

Investigators are able to now release the identity of the victim as Henry Alexander JARSCH, 41 years, of Kitchener.
Crawford Edgar LAMKA, 26 years, of Wilmot Township, is charged with Second Degree Murder and two counts of Attempted Murder. He is appearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener today.

Claude OUELLETTE, 52 years, of Kitchener, is charged with Accessory After the Fact in relation to the Homicide.
Two Kitchener males, both 37 years, suffered non- life threatening gunshot injuries believed to be related to the incident on Erb’s Road. They were treated in hospital and then released into police custody. Both are charged jointly with Robbery with a Firearm. As victims of a criminal act, their names are not being released.

Police believe that this was not a random incident.
