(BATTERSEA, ON) – On September 18, 2015 at approximately 12:45AM, officers of the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a 23-year-old male for a driving offence on Highway 401, Port Hope. As a result of their investigation, officers provided information to South Frontenac OPP that a death may have occurred at a location on Trillium Lane, South Frontenac.
The Frontenac OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Dan Nadeau, Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), attended and located a 63-year-old male deceased at the scene. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
A 23-year-old male from Durham, ON is presently in police custody.
The investigation is continuing.
