HOMEOWNER CONFRONTS TWO MALES IN ATTEMPTED BREAK AND ENTER

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding residents to be as vigilant during the daytime hours as they are when the lights go out when it comes to protecting their property.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is investigating an attempted break and enter at a Chapel Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at approximately 12:31 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned homeowner after unknown suspects attempted to gain entry into a shed located in the rear yard of the property.

Through investigation it has been determined that owner of the residence heard several noises in the rear yard which woke them from their sleep. The resident immediately went outside and confronted two males who fled from the area.

The OPP is reminding all residents to contact the police immediately if they observe any suspicious activity around their property or their neighbour’s properties.
