(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment was contacted by a concerned homeowner at a Brantford Road, Windham Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, July 20, 2014, at approximately 7:27 p.m., police were contacted after a homeowner arrived home to find a male inside the residence. The homeowner confronted the male who immediately fled through the front door.
The homeowner followed the male and observed him enter a farmer’s field. The male continued to run at which time he fell dropping all the items that were taken from the residence however an Apple iPhone and iPad are were not located.
The male is being described as tanned, 5’7, medium build, shaved head, wearing a white t-shirt with baggy jeans.
A small dark coloured Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was observed picking up the male at the Burford-Delhi Townline Road.
Police are reminding all home owners to ensure that all doors and windows are secured in order to prevent anyone from gaining access to your residence
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male and vehicle involved. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
