Homeowner Confronts Home Invaders – Two Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment have charged a 26-year-old female and 32-year-old male after police responded to an incident at a Queen Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

On Monday, February 22, 2016 at approximately 6:25 p.m., police responded to the address after a homeowner confronted a male and female inside their residence.

The male and female immediately fled with the homeowner following. Police were contacted and subsequently located both individuals who were taken into custody without further incident.

As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 26-year-old Carrie Leona BOGAERT of Norfolk County, Ontario with break and enter, mischief under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Charged with break and enter, mischief under $5,000 and fail to comply with Probation Order is 32-year-old Christopher John THOMPSON of Norfolk County, Ontario.

Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
