(CLEARVIEW TWP, ON.) – On December 20th at approx. 20:20hrs, members of the Huronia West Detachment of The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 42 in Clearview Twp. (Avening).
The on-going investigation has reviled the motor vehicle was travelling Southbound on County Road 42 when it drifted into oncoming traffic. As a result, the driver steered in the opposite direction, causing the motor vehicle to leave the roadway, travel though the ditch and collide with a home. There was significant damage to the home and the motor vehicle. The lone occupant of the motor vehicle received minor injuries. The driver was transported to Collingwood Hospital. There were no other injuries. Clearview Fire and Simcoe County EMS also responded to the collision.
Charges are pending. Weather has been ruled out as a factor in the collision.
