(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a speeding driver at 144km/h in the posted 100km/h zone on Highway 115 yesterday just after 12:30pm.
The driver was found to have been impaired by alcohol. John Paul HOGG (age 38) of Peterborough, ON was arrested and charged with:
Impaired Driving
Driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood
Speeding
Driving while prohibited
The accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, ON later today.
