(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – The East Algoma OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) has charged a male after receiving a complaint of a possible assault with a hockey stick.
Investigation revealed that on February 28, 2016 at approximately 3:30a.m., the victim with friends attended a residence on Rome Court in Elliot Lake to provide a ride for an acquaintance. While waiting for the friend, the victim and a male engaged in a consensual fight. During the altercation, another male allegedly struck the victim in the head with a hockey stick.
The victim attended the local hospital, was treated and released.
Charged with the following is Nathan CAMPBELL (20) of Elliot Lake.
Assault with a Weapon as per sec. 267(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court May 3, 2016.
