(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Wednesday April 14th 2010 at approximately 6 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were called to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy. 23 (Road 164) and Line 81.
Investigation revealed that a grey van travelling west bound on Line 81 failed to stop for the stop sign and crossed directly in front of a south bound black sedan. The driver of the south bound sedan braked hard but was unable to avoid colliding with the passenger side rear corner of the van.
The female driver of the sedan was able to bring her vehicle to a safe stop. She was transported by ambulance to the Listowel Memorial Hospital where she was examined and released. This was done as a precaution due to her stage of pregnancy.
The van did not stop or remain at the scene but continued west bound on Line 81.
